If you made a Death machine Cartoon,would Jack dante have Brad dourif's voice? I'd watch that cartoon,for sure! Oh,and I wanted to tell you how much I love Death machine. I've seen a helluva lot of sci-fi and horror films,and it's rare to find one that's so good. I always feel happy when watching it. Sorry if this seems creepy.   I'm always happy to hear someone else likes Death Machine! As weird as it may sounds, it's my "feel good" movie, the one I watch when I feel sad or when I'm sick. I love how it doesn't take itself seriously and has lots of gags, but still looks like a relatively serious movie most of the time. The characters are lots of fun too, of course  It's not a masterpiece or anything, but it's a good little movie. I wish it had a fandom  A Death Machine cartoon would be amazing! Would never know how to do it myself (I don't know how to animate anyway), but of course having Brad doing Jack's voice would be a must. And the rest of the cast for the other characters too, of course. Well, I guess we would have to find someone for John but let's not think about it. Thank you so much for all the compliments on my art I'm not a professional or anything, it's just something I do for fun (it would probably show a lot more if I tried to draw backgrounds from time to time. I suck at it. A lot.) I don't complement people so much unless I mean it. The style of your drawings makes me happy because they have so much energy and they are very cute. Two of my favourite characters you draw are you and Jack dante. The way you draw the mouths is wonderful.
 Aw thanks! The expressions (especially the eyes and mouths) are what I like to draw the most; I guess it shows uh? It's so nice to hear something like that coming from another artist; sometimes I feel like what I draw it pretty much useless, considering how so few people watch it. Most people aren't interested in Death Machine fanart, and even less of them are interested in seeing anthro fanart of these characters. I don't mind it too much, but it can get a little annoying. I really have years of practice when it comes to drawing Jack (I was drawing him even before I saw the movie!), so I suppose it makes sense that he would be looking better than John, for exemple (I have only started drawing him maybe... one year ago?). Need more pratice!  Oh, and I swear I'm not as hyper as I look when I draw myself... Lorina, as I draw her, is well... me if I was on caffeine all the time, I guess Oh,I didn't mean that you draw any of your the characters better than any other! They're all good. I just
 Brad dourif,is all. I'm actually glad that you like Mr.hootkins and death machine. It means you have more refined tastes. I mean,look at me. I like older men that almost everybody else dislikes. They think they all have harsh faces or that they're insane or evil. I've actually had two or three people act alarmed/concerned when they found out that I like Brad. "Why do you like him?! How OLD IS HE?! Oh,my god,he scares me. He's evil." I've delt with people like that all of my life,so I say: "If LorinaDante has the hots for willaim hootkins and if she loves 'Death machine',well,then that makes her a better person." as in,you think for yourself. Rock on. It's so nice to hear things like this, you know. Most people around me dont really mind that I fangirl over... well, weird things, but I pretty much always end up hearing the same question "Why?". I don't mind having to explain myself; I know the things and people I like are not considered "mainstream", but most of the time I just feel like there is no way I can explain properly how or why something matters so much to me. Not having to explain myself is part of why I prefer to fangirl online (even though it still kinda gets lonely sometimes. Psh, who is the idiot who said everything had a fandom?).My parents used to find my fangirling over Brad pretty amusing (and they do agree that he is a very good actor, especially my father who loves Deadwood just as much as I do); they used to think it was weird but they don't mind. Now... lets just say that me liking old unknown actors that no one has ever heard about is pretty much a running gag in the family. But yeah, I guess it's a little harder to explain to people who are not part of your family. Most of my friends know, and I'm much less vocal about my fangirling than I used to be, I even though they probably don't get why, they don't mind. I often try to make them see a good movie when I have the chance though, and that usually work out well enough Seriously, if someone is "alarmed" by you liking an older actor, I think they just don't understand at all. Who ever said only "young" and "hot" actors could be admired? I think that's the downside of all this... after a while, it can get a little depressing, always having to explain why, only because if an actor isn't "pretty", you're apparently not supposed to see how talented he is or whatever. And anyone who says Brad Dourif is evil?... Well, that person needs to learn how to differenciate an actor and the character he plays. Because seriously.  Boy,You've been lucky.
My own parents dislike most of the actors I like and were terribly displeased when I started to like brad. I don't know why. They're not the easy-going kind of folk. I adore deadwood,but my dad won't watch it with me because of all the cussing. He's very old fashioned (Although,he sometimes cusses like a sailor) Forget watching my fave movies with them. They hate gore and crazy humour. My sis is the only one who listens to me and watches my stuff. No one else. Not even my friends. The things I like are just too weird and scary for them. Bunch of chickens. It's been 10 years since I started fan girling. Things have died down considerably and I dont talk much about the verious things/ppl I ship. Not even much online. Very few ppl out there can understand. Also,ALL of the guys I like are actors and ALL of them are over 40. Yes ALL OF THEM!  All the fellahs I've been with who are not actors,I simply do not like. Don't know why. Maybe it's because it takes a very open kind of person to be an actor (well,a good actor) so many guys are so stuck up. As far as age goes,It's simply a matter of happenstance. I fell for the actors I like when they were in their 30s (Via movie) and then found out that they are currently much older than me...It's that way all of the time. My mom said that I must have some sort of father issue (yes,my mother said that) but I don't. I just like older dudes. Sorry that I keep posting long replies.  This isn't a place for me to vent. |
